Curious about marketing, communications or creative work? The Fall 2026 Creative Collective gives young Alaskans a chance to gain hands-on experience while learning the same planning and project management skills used by communications directors and campaign managers every day.

And if you’re a YAB member, you can earn $30/hour for participating.*

Is this for you?

You do not need to already know how to run a marketing campaign. This is a chance to learn by doing.

The Creative Collective is for you if you want to:

  • Explore whether marketing is right for you

  • Learn project management and leadership skills

  • Build your resume

  • Gain real experience employers want

  • Work with other young Alaskan leaders

Marketing is more than making graphics or posting on social media.

You’ll learn how a real campaign moves from an idea to a finished project, including the planning, organization, collaboration and leadership that happens behind the scenes.

These are transferable skills you can use in marketing, nonprofit work, business, advocacy, project management and many other careers.
